DO I REALLY NEED A TONER?

I have been using Neutrogena's Alcohol-Free Toner and I don't know if it is working or not for my acne? I feel like it is just smelly water. I really don't want to wast money on it if it isn't doing anything. What is your option?

Thanks!DO I REALLY NEED A TONER?
For acne make sure you're using products that kill bacteria. Toner can serve different purposes, one of them is to bring the skin back to a normal pH. Most toner meant for acne-prone skin has some sort of active ingredient like salicylic acid.

Do you use a spot treatment like benzoyl peroxide? Do you clean your face before bed? Do you exfoliate? Acne sufferers should be meticulous in their skincare regimen.

Do NOT use hot water. Bacteria likes warmth. To reduce the redness or inflammation from acne, ice. Use only luke warm or cool water to cleanse.

Every part of your regimen should be meant for your skin type, including your makeup.

If you can afford to, see a dermatologist.DO I REALLY NEED A TONER?
Most acne systems have different parts which all work together. The toner is usually only one part. It will help to dry up acne, and hence make your face less oily-but not all acne occurs from oil. So if you have a dry face already, toner won't help. I'd suggest trying a system, such as ProActive, or something like it.
Toners are great for your skin but I would be using a toner pads. Also using toner pads with a pore cleanser and correcting lotion for moisture. I like using clearskin professional because it doesn't stop working after a couple of months like a lot of Neutrogena's stuff.

Hope this helps!

My cousin had that, and i think if its only if you wear makeup and concealer or foundation. She hated it, and now its just in the back of her closet. Now, we both have a great toner. Its called L'OREAL hydrafresh toner, and its pink! It is defintly the best toner i have ever had. Once your done using it, it makes your skin feel so soft, and heals up ance because it gets rid of A LOT of dirt, oli, and makeup, and it doesnt strip your skin. You can get it at you local pharmacy. i got mine at CVS. It only costs $6.59. Good luck. i hope you choose it. :)
I have read that toner plays a big part in your skin care regine, but obviously you need one thats right for you skin type. Its definatly worth looking around %26amp; reading into which ones are right for you.

Pan Oxyl face soap. Or toothpaste on your acne and It stops the redness. When you use Pan Oxyl face soap get a hot rag It works best with a hot rag and wipe your face with it. And, maybe some clinique cover up until the acne goes away. At night, pull your hair up in a ponytail or wear a stretch headband to get the hair out of your face so it doesn't get oily. Look for Pan Oxyl face soap in a navy blue bot at Walmart or even Target. And, if your face is dry, Try some Lubriderm lotion on dry spots on your face and let it soak into your skin, But, rub it all in. The Face soap, However, keeps your face nice and soft all day. But, don't put the soap bar underneath the water or else it will get all wet, and the next time you use it, It will get mildewly. So, just wet your hands and shake most of the water off them and grap the face soap and rub it between your hands and apply it onto your face. Avoid your eyes and mouth. I hope my answer helped!
