How often does a laser printer's toner get replaced? or does it?

cite you application (e.g. office or home) and the time it takes to replace the next one, if it runs out of it...How often does a laser printer's toner get replaced? or does it?
If your printouts are starting to get lines through them, it's time to order a new cartridge. You can get some more life out of the cartridge by removing it and lightly shaking it from side to side to re-distribute the toner.

Most printers will cite the duty cycle at pages per 5% coverage. I've got a Dell 1600n which is rated to get 5,000 pages at 5% coverage... in reality it's a touch more. How often does a laser printer's toner get replaced? or does it?
The toners have a ';life cycle'; or duty cycle. You may find more info about duty cycle on the manufacturer's website.

Of course, when you see broken lines %26amp; texts or definitely poor quality print outs, it's time to get a new one.
When the printouts are fed and blank printouts are coming, then you replace the catridge.
